Outlines supervision requirements, verified guardian consent workflows, and restricted minor account safeguards.

Audience: Parents, legal guardians, young entrepreneurs, and minor users
Developer: Zambezi Digital

Official Policy Publication — Enforced Standards

This document is an active, binding operational policy published by Zambezi Digital governing the security, data privacy, and usage regulations of Kairo OS across all jurisdictions.

1. Youth Entrepreneurship & Supervision Principles

Kairo recognizes that young entrepreneurs and students (including founder-led initiatives) build valuable digital businesses. However, under international contract and data protection laws, individuals under 18 cannot enter into binding contracts or use Kairo independently. Where legally permitted, access requires verified parent or legal guardian consent and active supervision.
Key takeaway: Under-18 users require verified parental or guardian consent to access Kairo.

2. Guardian Roles & Responsibilities

An approved parent or legal guardian: • Acts as the legally responsible party for the minor's account. • Accepts the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy on behalf of the minor. • Maintains visibility into account administration, billing, and workspace permissions. • May revoke consent and request complete account deletion at any time. • Ensures that the minor's business activities comply with all applicable local laws.
Key takeaway: Guardians assume legal responsibility and retain full revocation and oversight rights.

3. Verified Consent (No Simple Checkboxes)

Self-attestation or unchecked checkboxes do NOT constitute verified guardian consent. Kairo requires affirmative guardian identification, direct email confirmation, and verifiable authorization before any under-18 account can be considered for activation.
Key takeaway: Guardian consent requires verifiable identity confirmation, not simple checkboxes.

4. Restricted Pre-Launch Status

During this pre-launch review phase, minor accounts remain in a restricted 'Pending Guardian Verification' state. Normal account creation is blocked until our full legal verification framework receives formal counsel sign-off.
Key takeaway: Minor accounts remain strictly in a pending state until formal verification is cleared.
